About The plate initiative

The plate initiative exists to fight food insecurity with reloadable grocery assistance cards that give individuals and families the freedom to choose what belongs on their table.

Traditional food assistance cannot always accommodate medical conditions, allergies, cultural traditions, religious diets, children’s sensory needs, or personal preferences. We believe assistance should restore dignity rather than remove it.

Before opening applications, we are building the financial resources, community partnerships, and volunteer network required for a sustainable, accountable program. We would rather establish a dependable foundation than make promises we cannot yet keep.
